Have you tried stand-up paddle boarding yet?

What is stand-up paddle boarding

Stand-up paddle boarding (SUP) is a fun way to spend some time on the water and get a little exercise. It’s one of my favorite ways to relax at the lake and I pull out my board anytime I can!

Just like the name says, you stand on an inflatable or a hard board and use a paddle to propel yourself across the water. But despite the name, you can even paddle while sitting!

Paddleboard yoga has become popular in recent years and it’s also super dog friendly! Most dogs enjoy it and figure out how to balance on the board pretty quickly.

How much do paddle boards cost

As great as SUP is it can be pretty expensive. Some boards are well over $1000!

The good news is there are lots of options for cheap paddle boards. The bad news is, that you often get what you pay for.

So how do you find the best cheap paddle board?

The best cheap paddle board

You could spend hours pouring over reviews and searching various websites or you can take my word for it. I truly believe I have found the very best cheap paddle board!

The Bestway Hydro-Force Oceana

I bought this board over 6 years ago and it is almost as good as the day I got it. It is a $300 board so it’s still not exactly what I would call cheap, but it is significantly more affordable than other boards.

The Hydro-Force board comes with a pump, leash, removable seat, collapsible paddle (with 2 blade attachments so you can use it like a kayak), and a bag to carry it all.

After 6 years of use the only part of this board that shows any wear (besides it being dirty) is the non-slip foam. It has a few nicks from dog nails.

I have had multiple people, multiple dogs, coolers, gear bags, etc. all on this board. And it has never failed me. Of course, it’s not all sunshine and rainbows so let’s check out the pros and cons.
